  • Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, VA 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway Chantilly, VA United States (map)

Each year, legendary figures in space history reflect on their distinguished careers. Join us to hear from astronauts Colonel Eileen Collins, the first woman to command the space shuttle, and Colonel Cady Coleman who deployed the Chandra X-ray Observatory during the STS-93 mission as well as Dr. Patrick Slane and Dr. Kimberly Arcand, senior scientists from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory who analyze the important data sent back to us here on Earth. Moderated by Dr. Ellen Stofan, Under Secretary for Science and Research at the Smithsonian.

Event to be followed by a book signing for Collins’s Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars and Coleman’s Sharing Space.
